Defying categorization, Nikos Fokas creates a compelling work on the lovely “The Eternal Creak Of The Icebreaker”. The emphasis on quiet hushed sounds works to their advantage for it is the small, nuanced moments that appear to be their strengths. Melodies glisten throughout the extended drones that dominate the album. While the piece explore the so often overlooked sounds there is an emotional core that helps to tie the differing approaches together. ~ beachsloth
